"THE WEIGHT OF THE WORLD" Wall Sculpture 16" x 55" x 12" in by Shawn Kolodny Medium: Stainless Steel Creating art to reflect the times we live in, Kolodny creates art for our short attention spans, a distracted society. He boils the current cultural climate and trends of today down to a word or phrase. Focusing the viewer, directing their attention, forcing the viewer to reflect about specific social and cultural moments of our time. With his new series “The Zeitgiest” Kolodny uses a variety of mediums, and technologies, to create his works; Everything from Oil paint, and resin, to Augmented reality. The different materials and mediums create a wide variety of visual interpretations sharing the same underlying construct.
