Moon arch is an original contemporary artwork realized by Maryam Pezeshki in 2009. Mixed media and terracotta sculpture. Original title: Arco di Luna Maryam Pezeshki was born in Tehran on August 18, 1977. SHe began to paint at the age of three. Her first painting was a Pinocchio. I use bands around the form to constrict specific areas of each piece, while at the same time creating space for the volume and fullness to escape. The bands create registers to frame my drawings and paintings of floral imagery. The way I combine surface and form is inspired by Ming Dynasty porcelain...
