Bruno Helgen
Let's explore the world Black Teak Globe by Bruno Helgen - wood globe sculpture

About the Item

Teakwood and black lava sand make this beautiful turning globe a real stunning sculpture. Made from a whole piece of wood the way the sculpture is shaped is defined by how the tree grew. Sitting on a turning base the sculpture can spin silently around, so that all angles can be admired at any time. His work is favored by private collectors and commercial organizations, such as Louis Vuitton, around the world. Bruno Helgen’s design uses local wood from Bali like teak or walnut and the final shape of the globe is adjusted to the beauty and the imperfections of the piece of wood. These sculptures come to life with a variety of materilas such as volcanic sand, lacquer and metals. About the Gallery: Folly and Muse was established in 2015 in London to find and collaborate with the most creative, talented, emerging and mid-career artists from all around the world. Folly & Muse (since 2019 in Munich) has made it their mission to curate unique works of an exceptional quality and bring them to savvy contemporary art collectors with an eye out for abstract and figurative paintings, photography and sculptural works of art.
