About the Item
"This is one of my earliest sculptures. I depicted a naked girl at the waterfall. She bathes under jets of water. The fabric of clothing hugs her body and lies down to her feet. The fabric, like water, repeats the curves of the body and emphasizes its beauty. The classical pose makes the forms and grace sounds to the maximum. It may be a goddess or a forest nymph, or it may be an ordinary earthly woman herself. I looked at her with eyes full of love and admiration".
the sculpture was created in the early period of Radionov`s career. The author's style was subordinated to the then current situation in the USSR - realism. Now this work can be classified as Vintage
Born in 1954. 1976-1982 – graduated National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture, Department of sculpture.
2001 – Awarded with a title of Honored Artist of Ukraine. Work as a sculptor for more then 40 years. Participated exhibitions and fairs locally and worldwide. Had about 15 solo art shows While studying, Radionov worked as an assistant in National Opera Theater of Ukraine. Lives in Kyiv, Ukraine.
