Angelina Perez
Ceramic Work -- Violinista

C. 2004

About the Item

This sculpture depicts a violinist in rumpled grey clothes, and slumped into his terra-cotta violin. He appears to sport a mustache; his eyes are closed. This is the perfect gift for a fiddler or a musician. Angelina is an artist who only uses her first name. She was trained in pedagogy and psychotherapy at the University of Mexico (UNAM), where she also studied sculpture. As a former psychotherapist, she is interested in portraying humans in their various states of being. Angelina has exhibited extensively in San Miguel de Allende, where she resides, and throughout Mexico.
