About the Item
This bronze statue is a Metta Buddha or Protective Buddha. The accuracy of the varying elements and characteristics of Davies' depiction has been thoroughly researched and well founded in collaboration with a Buddhist Trust. True to the Metta Buddha representation, African, European and Eastern oriental race have been equally depicted. The base is decorated with carved lotus leaves. The statue is freestanding with a polished bronze finish coated in a clear lacquer for outdoor protection against tarnishing or oxidization. 2/9 polished bronze. 1/9 is in the garden of a Buddhist Retreat, England. 14 to 16 weeks from order confirmation to collection from studio.
