Bethany Krull
Large Contemporary Animal Wall Sculpture Alligator Paper Clay Archival White

2021

$16,000

About

A large scale wall installation depicting an albino alligator, by contemporary sculptor Bethany Krull, which was recently featured in a presentation at SPRING/BREAK Art Fair in New York City. This work is durable and archival, created with gesso, paper mache, and a wire armature. The sculpture has porcelain teeth and taxidermy eyes. Krull pipes the compound she creates onto the piece as though it were a cake, to create the unique heavily textured reptilian skin. This stunning piece has a hanging system built into the structure of the piece and hangs on the wall easily, weighing only 35 lbs.
