About the Item
Caroline started this sculpture when pregnant with her first child. She found becoming a mother an incredibly inspiring experience and wanted to reflect on the real privilege it was to watch her children grow and develop. This sculpture is available in an edition of 5 in foundry bronze.
Caroline Russell is a London-based sculptor, working mainly in clay, plaster and jesmonite, creating sculptures which are cast in strictly limited editions in foundry bronze, bronze resin and marble jesmonite. She is a Member of the Royal Society of Sculptors, and has been a professional sculptor since 1993. Caroline graduated from Leeds University and studied sculpture privately under Patricia Finch, FRSS. Caroline’s sculptures have been shown in galleries and exhibitions throughout Britain and sold to buyers from as far afield as Hong Kong, New York, Switzerland and Brazil.
