About the Item

Charles Pachter is one of the most collected and cherished Canadian artists. His iconic, uplifting, and patriotic images have independently earned their place in the nation's museums. Working in many media, Pachter is best known for his favorite subjects: the barn, the Queen, and the Moose. “Mooseamour” is a small-scale example of Pachter’s iconic sculpture of the same subject, which have homes across Canada. (One of our favorite examples guards the University of Toronto campus at the corner of Harbord Street and St. George) Using the principles of classical perspective, the steel figure is flattened to appear as a two-dimensional image. Click here to watch Pachter and his team move a large iteration of “Mooseamour” to an art gallery in Ontario. This work was included in our recent Charles Pachter exhibition, "The Barns Collection 2" Click here to see images. Questions about this product?
