The sculpture by Chésade is a part of this new "expressionist" movement. Despite the striking realism of these works of art, they are more motivated by a strong desire to convey the artist's or the animal's own subjective feelings than by a desire to trick the viewer's eyes. Chésade is a contemporary French sculptor who primarily finds inspiration in the animal and marine kingdoms.
