About the Item

La Nave Blanda brings together Christian Wedel’s graphite drawing on tracing paper with a wooden frame developed in collaboration with Panorammma Atelier. The piece operates as a soft threshold into the artist’s imagined ecosystems, where forms hover between organism and symbol, and imagery seems to emerge from a dreamlike substrate. The delicate translucency of the paper allows the drawing to feel suspended, neither fully present nor entirely fixed, echoing the fluidity and instability that shape Wedel’s world-building. The frame, carved with undulating contours and subtle facial suggestions, acts as an extension of the drawing rather than a boundary. It becomes another body in conversation with the image, amplifying its organic rhythm and its suggestion of a quiet, animated interiority. In this meeting between fragility and structure, La Nave Blanda proposes a vessel that moves not through space but through perception. It invites the viewer to slip momentarily into an alternate register, where forms shift, meanings blur, and the human figure is only one of many beings negotiating a shared, uncertain landscape.
