About the Item
Contemporary American paper-mache artist Debbee Thibault is a master sculptor in the grand tradition of the WPA sculptors of the early 1930’s. Her belief that “like a fingerprint each handmade piece is truly unique” is evident in all her works, including the heart-warming “Easter Angel” created in 1998. Limited edition. holding her very own basket of colored eggs. Each handmade "Angel" is individually handcrafted of paper-mache, hand-painted in vibrant yet antiqued colors for a lively yet aged appearance. She has jointed arms, detailed facial modeling, and a weighed base which is signed by the artist and numbered on the bottom. Edition 123/2500. Condition is excellent. Provenance: A Sarasota, Florida collector.
