About the Item
Original aluminum with pierced symbols sculpture by the contemporary artist Gary Kephart. Titled “Double Nought”. Completed in 2020. Signed with the artist initials in the base. Condition is excellent. Provenance: From the artist’s collection.
Artist Statement: Gary Kephart was born in Philadelphia in 1955 and lived for many years in Marin, Sonoma and Montecito, California Mr. Kephart had a successful business in the Hamptons operating an art gallery and antique shops. 40 years as a student of spirituality, religions, alphabets, math and symbolism has prepared Mr. Kephart for his new calling as an artist. Besides, his artistic endeavors, over 750 pages of poetry has been published in his name including the Constellation Prize, and “The 2020”. Original furniture designing and acrylic and pastel painting have taking up most of his days since 2018.
