Biography:
Sicilian-born Giacinto Bosco began working with local artisans at a very young age, and apprenticed as an artistic caster after moving to Milan at the age of 15. The foundry where he worked was also used as a meeting place for sculptors and artist; who were a source of inspiration and stimulation for Bosco as a young man.
He attended Milan's Bramante Artistic High School, where Prof. Teruggi encouraged him to develop his artistic talent. Bosco became a member of "Società per le Belle Arti ed Esposizione Permanente" (known as "La Permanente") in 1990, and completed his first public commissions over the following years, including; "The Light" (Rescaldina, Italy 1997), 'Statue of John Paul II' (Arese, Italy 2006), "A Peaceful World" (Garbagnate, Italy 2008), Monument dedicated to the Carabinieri who fell in Nassiriya (Borgosesia, Italy 2008/2009), and 'Statue of Pope Benedict XVI' (Santa Maria di Leuca, Italy 2009).
His later "Aphorisms of the Moon" reflected Boscos move to a more poetic dimension, in which his dreamlike imagination is transformed and shaped into sculptures. His non-conformist means of expression are a straightforward way of pushing against contemporary experimentation with unusual materials, desecrating what is vibrant and beautiful in art, and declaring its irreversible demise.
Bosco's works conform to the expressive traditions of the late 20th century, yet integrate the timeless themes of a love story. His pieces are rendered in full relief using historic bronze sculpture techniques, and encourage the observer to reflect upon his unique ability to combine historic artisan workmanship, with highly original techniques of execution which are outside the formal historic canons. His sculptural tales highlight an artform which speak to the subconscious and encourage cultural investigation, and subjective introspection.
Inspired by ancient, basic sentiments, their magical compositions make the material come alive, communicating both candid lightness and arcane allusion.

"My great hope for my work is that it makes people experience a truly special feeling that only they can explain. I hope that they experience a sense of what I feel...These feelings and emotions can’t be expressed in words, as it’s on such a deeper level."– John Fitzgerald: Anthology (2023)
Born in Co. Meath in 1976, John Fitzgerald is now established as one of Irelands leading Equine, Sporting and Portrait Artists.
Originally John studied Industrial Design in Letterkennny RTC & at the University of Wales, Swansea. It was while in college that he developed a strong understanding of drawing and design, and the different techniques used in completing a piece from initial concept sketches, to oberservation, to 3 dimensional form.
In 2013 John was asked to be the artist in residence by the Curragh Racecourse where he now has his own studio/gallery, which is open to the public on race days.
2014 saw Johns work reach a huge audience at the Cheltenham festival, where he was filmed by Channel 4 racing while completing a range of works including A.P.Mc Coys portrait, and a set of sketches...

The Missing Piece
Located in Belfast, GB
The Missing Piece is a bronze artwork suitable for inside or outdoor display. Pollock is referencing life in with the crow and the puzzle piece.
"I never limit myself to one subject or style of work and can never say where the work will go next, which makes it exciting for myself and I hope for the viewer. I like the fact that bronze is so permanent, a bronze sculpture is going to be around forever." - Pollock (2019)
Dublin born sculptor Ian Pollock is primarily a self-taught artist who has spent his career working in the Cast Foundry in the Liberties area of Dublin. Working exclusively in bronze, Pollock has worked with art ever since he was a young child. His work is a three dimensional diary of his daily existence. His bronzes are cast using a 'cire perdue' (lost wax) method in ceramic shell moulds. In the pursuit of excellence, he has compiled meticulous craftsmanship in the medium of bronze sculpture.
Inspiration for his sculptures comes from aspects of daily life, Pollock sees his work 'as a three dimensional diary' of his life; "I never limit myself to one subject or style of work and can never say where the work will go next, which makes it exciting for myself and I hope for the viewer. I like the fact that bronze is so permanent, a bronze sculpture is going to be around forever".
Pollock has exhibited and sold his work throughout Ireland and the UK; including the Oireachtas, RHA, and the RUA (where he won the Mullan Prize for sculpture in 2003).
Pollock's work can be found in the collections of the Office of Public Works and University College Dublin, as well as many private collections in Europe and the USA. Large commissions include an eleven foot flight of birds for Largy College in Clones, Co. Monaghan, along with many life size private commissions.
Pollock continues to exhibit with Gormleys Gallery...
