About the Item
Inger Nova Jorgensen has been a professional in the arts her entire adult life. After owning a successful modern/contemporary art gallery and high-tech frame shop in Oregon for many years, Jorgensen now focuses solely on her own art. In the last 15 years, she has become increasingly inspired creating contemporary, figurative bronze sculpture while continuing to paint, adding dimension to her artistic world.
Jorgensen has completed multiple large-scale—life-size to 10 feet—figurative monuments and collaborated on several large-scale projects, furthering her education to focus on executing her own visions for various monumental works. Inspired by collaboration, Jorgensen enjoys commission work, mentoring, teaching, and team projects. She is also a vocalist, songwriter, and performer, which serve as inspiration for her visual art.
"It is my great pleasure to create art that encompasses a diverse array of humanity and nature and all of that which serves to inspire and move the human spirit to greatness," says Jorgensen.
Jorgensen holds a BFA in studio art with honors from Humboldt State University. Her smaller bronze sculpture editions can be found in private collections throughout the US and in her studio/gallery in Oregon. Her work was also displayed in a year-long solo exhibition at the Museum of Danish America.
