About the Item

The Cantabrian sculptor José Cobo studied stone carving and al fresco painting at the San Fernando Academy of Fine Arts in Madrid. He subsequently travelled to the United States and enrolled in the prestigious School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where he graduated as a Master Sculptor in 1985, and in Art History and Criticism two years later. From 1994 to 1997, he was Professor of Sculpture at the aforementioned North American school. His prestige in the United States has led to regular exhibitions in cities such as Chicago, New York, Minneapolis and Michigan.
