About the Item

The male figure lies atop a cresting wavelike column, seemingly elevated by the experience. One hand is nearly touching his heart while the other hand is held open in a gesture of release - male liberation from the cultural expectations of masculinity. Edition number 4/25. In 2010, Marty was elected Fellow of the National Sculpture Society. He has been a member of the Society since 2004. His work is represented by more fine art galleries throughout the United States and is included in over 1,000 private and corporate collections around the world.
