Nando Kallweit
Martina - One-of-a-kind Bronze Figurative Sculpture

2023

About the Item

Nando Kallweit’s "Martina" is a contemporary bronze sculpture that beautifully captures introspection and serenity. Designed as a seated figure with an open book, this piece exudes a sense of quiet contemplation and intellectual curiosity. Kallweit’s signature elongated, abstracted form and minimalist facial features evoke a sense of universality, allowing viewers to project their own emotions onto the artwork. The rich patina and subtle textural details enhance the sculpture’s timeless elegance, making it a sophisticated addition to any modern or minimalist art collection. Perfect for display on a ledge, table, or shelf, Martina brings a refined yet emotive presence to any space. German sculptor Nando Kallweit produces figurative bronze sculptures and reliefs with aquiline and a graceful modern appeal. Kallweit is inspired by seemingly disparate cultures; the strength of ancient Egyptian sculptures, the dynamic forms of the modern Cubist movement, and an observation of our contemporary and future existence. Combined with a considerate approach, Kallweit renders archaic materials, such as blackened oak and bronze, with a palpable sensitivity. These forms are varied tirelessly in his creations. This 7-inch tall by 2-inch wide by 3-inch deep figurative bronze sculpture is named Martina. Each of Nando's individual figures is named according to their distinct personalities as visualized by the artist. This work is created using the lost wax method – with the ceramic mold shattered in order to reveal the bronze figure. This sculpture can be placed on any flat surface. Kallweit's unique sculptures can also be grouped to create a harmonious display. Kallweit reduces the figures to simple gestures and movements, creating sculptures with a wonderful interplay between art and design. Convenient local Los Angeles area delivery. Affordable Continental U.S. and worldwide shipping are available. A certificate of authenticity issued by the art gallery is included. Close observation of each piece leads to the discovery of unexpected details in the design, which conveys emotional robustness. Kallweit moves continuously while creating his sculptures. He works with intensity and energy that he must balance with a sensitive and considerate approach. Kallweit’s work is permeated by a longing for the unknown, the elusive, the divine, and the spiritual. The visual impact of his metal sculptures leaves a deep impression on the viewer. Kallweit was born in 1972 in Schwerin, Germany. After completing engineering school, Kallweit began a successful career as a freelance sculptor. He currently lives in Essen, Germany. His work has since become coveted for permanent public installations for German municipalities and museums. His sculptures have been exhibited internationally and are held in private collections worldwide. 'Passion Woman, ' by ArmanH, Bronze Sculpture
Located in Oklahoma City, OK
This 24.01" x 15.74" bronze table top sculpture by artist Arman Hambardzumyan was created in 2013 and features an abstract nude female form. The figure is seated with crossed legs, the torso is curved upward opening into a corset form with outstretched arms. "The image of a woman always inspires me in both physical and spiritual beauty. In this sculpture, I tried to express the image of a woman with her soul, which has no smell, taste and is not tangible. The contour of the beautiful shimmering body of a woman allows you to feel the presence of the female soul inside."--ArmanH Arman is an Armenian artist represented in several major collections around the world including the Terra Garden in Kikinda (Serbia), Contemporary Hall of the National Museum of Fine Arts (Chisinau, Republic of Moldova), Boyajyan Center for the Arts (Prague, Czech Republic), and at private collections in Europe, Asia and in the USA. This work was exhibited in 2015 in 2015 Myths, Folk Art Museum after Hovhannes Sharambeyan. Yerevan, Armenia. Exhibit coordinator: Armine Beglaryan; and at the Art Expo, New York, April 21-24, 2017, organized by Redwood Art...
