About the Item
This standing kinetic sculpture by Tal Nehoray is from her latest body of works and is made of 2 hand made sculptures: a heart and a brain that are mounted on metal base.
Both sculptures are made of ceramic and plaster and are hand painted with acrylic.
"Oxymoron" talks about the constant struggle between the heart and the brain.
The brain is steady and logical whereas the heart is subject to our feelings and is more flexible.
Our lives are the tension between these opposites.
"Ox-y-mo-ron" - a figure of speech in which apparently contradictory terms appear in conjunction.
