About the Item

This set of two Earthenware Groom burial figures are from the Sui-Tang dynasty (581 - 618 AD). The two pieces are in great condition for their age with minor repairs to head and minimal wear for their age, featuring robes in red pigment and with beautiful stances. The two pieces are a set from the revered collection of H.H.Pao (A great Canadian Asian arts dealer 1937-2009). The two pieces are 19 and 20 cm in height by 5 and 6 cm in width. A truly exceptional pair of Chinese earthenware ceramics for any collection. Repairs to neck of one figure, and one figure is attached to wooden base. Spectacular and rare museum quality figures.
