He later received a Master of Arts in Art degree from the same university and completed a Master of Fine Arts in ceramics and sculpture at Washington State University. He has exhibited his work, given workshops in ceramics, and lectured internationally. He is represented in over 30 public as well as numerous private collections. His work is pictured in many books on ceramics as well as periodicals in the field. He has taught at colleges and universities on the west coast and in the Midwest since 1973.
