About the Item
Davies designed this urn by drawing on extensive research culminating in adopting classical elements from Graeco-Roman antiquity.
It's elegant shape is subtly embellished with a Roman laurel wreath and crossed ribbons tied over a reed base. It's proportions are aesthetically correct and pleasing to the eye. Although the urn in the images this listing is to be cast in bronze and can be patinated to the buyer's taste and practically used to support a small tree, indeed Davies himself has one supporting a lemon tree in a garden conservatory.
