Italian artist Fabio Coruzzi merges painting and photography into one imaginative image that offers a new outlook on an otherwise ordinary urban scene. His artworks represent an authenticity unlike any other: layered, textural, controversial, open to imagination, colorful, personal, and inspiring. Coruzzi’s work encapsulates not only urban environments, but the inhabitants as well. Irony is laced between figures drawn with an energetic architectural hand. His work is colorful, funny, and biting through resolutely rendered vignettes of people and places. Fabio Coruzzi was born in Foggia, Italy in 1975, and now resides in Southern California, USA. Remarking on his work in conjunction with his perspective on urban environments, Fabio states: "I wish that each painting I make should be like a poem of the place where I've been. I wish to become a poet of our time, like somebody would tell: "I've been there", but telling that my way, telling the audience that, no matter where we are, in a boulevard or in a restaurant, each single place is like an empty box that needs to be filled with the intense energy of our existence. Each place leaves a mark, like a scar, inside us. I wish that scar becomes poetry." An ongoing series of photographs spanning nearly five years show him to be an animalier; his subject is his small flock of laying hens who share with him a picturesque 19th century Maine farm that once covered one hundred thirty acres, and whose Northern edge was the Presumpscot River. Now reduced to a bit less than one acre and surrounded by residential Portland, it is this little world that is the core subject of Larry’s work. Goldman was born in Dallas, Texas in 1951 and received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Smith College and a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Wisconsin. She is known for her high color floral and nature design painting, printmaking and teaching. Goldman's media include watercolor, oil painting, silkscreen, intaglio print, lithograph, relief, screenprint,. aquatint etching and terrazzo. "Lyrical realism," based on a combination of free association and direct observation, best describes her style. Goldman’s luminous prints reveals the artist’s muse in a graphically novel way.
