At 1stDibs, there are many versions of the ideal trompe plate for your home. Each trompe plate for sale was constructed with extraordinary care, often using ceramic, earthenware and majolica. Whether you’re looking for an older or newer trompe plate, there are earlier versions available from the 18th Century and newer variations made as recently as the 21st Century. A trompe plate, designed in the Mid-Century Modern, Victorian or Louis XV style, is generally a popular piece of furniture. Many designers have produced at least one well-made trompe plate over the years, but those crafted by Delphin Massier, Sarreguemines and Piero Fornasetti are often thought to be among the most beautiful.
