LYAM 3D
By Kota Ezawa
Located in Berkeley, CA
Kota Ezawa recreates animated sequences from television, cinema, and art history. He uses basic digital drawing and animation software to create slide projections, light boxes, collages, and prints. In the vein of Warhol, his highly stylized facsimiles of familiar and often infamous images emphasize the distance between the viewer and the depicted figures that feature so prominently in America’s collective memory. His work is included in the permanent collections of the Museum of Modern Art, New York, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York and the San Francisco Museum of Art, California among others. The artist is represented by the Cheryl Haines Gallery...

Familiar
By Jason Chen
Located in Philadelphia, PA
This piece is an original artwork by Jason Chen titled "Familiar". It is made of hand-woven archival pigment print and measures 48”h x 32”w or 54”h x 38”w when framed. In 2012, Jason Chen shifted his long-running focus on dry plate tintypes to a new process: photo weaving. Chen began using two separate images of the same person, then wove them together in a process exploring time, movement, process, and mutation. He has exhibited works in the series one by one over the years, but in Fragments, his 2015 solo exhibition at Paradigm Gallery, a full collection of these works were on display together for the first time. Bio // Jason Chen is originally from Guangzhou, China. He received his BFA in Animation from the University of Arts in 2008. Original Modern City Art Post-Impressionist Collage Painting - Sublime 2153
By Tae Ho Kang
Located in Los Angeles, CA
Inspired by the artists of the Modern Art era, including Post-Impressionist Paul Cezanne, Kang visualizes the modern day search for identity in an age where information and images permeate every aspect of contemporary life. His architectural urban scenes are flattened, with everything pressed against the surface of the artwork. At times, multiple views of the same houses are visible, trees and bushes are vaguely alluded to, and the color palette finds a hectic balance. Just as a city operates in a balance of chaos and the sublime, so do the artworks of Kang. The Sublime is a euphoria that affects the deep recesses of one’s consciousness. Kang's work is largely abstract in order to convey the experience of the sublime. This colorful artwork is 30 inches high by 42 inches wide. The sides of this textured, original mixed-media artwork are painted and it does not require framing. It is hand-signed and dated by the artist on the front left corner. Free local Los Angeles area delivery. Affordable U.S. and worldwide shipping are available. Provenance: Artspace Warehouse. A certificate of authenticity issued by the art gallery is included. Tae Ho Kang was born in Seoul, Korea in 1945. He studied at the College of Arts of Hongik University in Seoul, South Korea. He later moved to California to study Fine Art at California State University, where he graduated in 1980. Since then, his artworks have focused on the never-ending quest for home and belonging in a dense urban landscape. About his mixed media artworks, he remarks: “One day, when I was traveling, I was impressed by the beautiful scenery of the city under the sky, with many straight lines, curved lines, and harmonies of different colors, which seemed to be a magnificent orchestral performance. The beauty of this urban landscape gave me a deep impression and great change began to take place in my work. I wanted to be a molecule in this huge space. I have to find a house of my heart to be molecule. Where is the house I live in? What is my identity? This question has begun to arise. I am on a long journey to find my own house.” His mixed media collage artworks have been exhibited in solo and group exhibitions as well as international art fairs throughout the US and in Korea. Kang's work has also been featured in Television and Film productions, including Criminal Minds, NCIS Los Angeles, Unforgettable, The Mindy Project, The Great Indoors, and American Housewife. His artworks have been exhibited and acquired by private collectors around the world. EDUCATION 1980 Studied Fine Art at California State University in Los Angeles 1974 College of Arts of Hongik University, Seoul Korea TEACHING 1976 DucK Sung University Seoul, Korea 1975-1978 Sinku University Seoul, Korea 1974-1979 Seoul Music and Art High school. Side Track 17
Located in New York, NY
Earth, air, water, and fire are the center subjects of my art. I live in New York City-it is close to the ocean, and I’ve developed a deep affinity for the sea, which has also evoked sentiments in me for what has across on the other side of the ocean. Majestic mountains in Europe and the U.S. those I’ve seen with spectacular ridgelines or forms are what I want to pay homage to. The sky’s ever-changing atmosphere, fire’s brilliance, and all the energies embodied in nature are the most things that I am in awe of. —- Leigh Wen
