Located in Paris, FR
Uno & Osten Kristiansson a pair of teak and acrylic sconces wall lights
Luxus. Vittsio. Sweden 1960
Good condition, Electrical function not tested
The designer brothers Uno & Östen Kristiansson are known for their lighting and mirrors and were particularly active from 1950 to 1970 in Sweden. They were prolific designers with a clear design aesthetic, easily identifiable as "Scandinavian Modern". Although there is little biographical information about the duo, their work is highly regarded by vintage enthusiasts and is in high demand on the vintage market today.
In 1950, Uno Kristiansson founded his own factory, Luxus, also located in Vittsjö. There he produced indoor and outdoor lamps, furniture and mirrors, designed by the two brothers. Their collections were launched in Sweden and throughout Europe in 1950. In 1968, Luxus introduced a collection of lamps with brightly colored shades that perfectly captured the spirit of the 1960s. They are said to have been designed by the renowned Finnish textile...

Active between the 1950s and '70s—in the golden age of Scandinavian design—Swedish interior decorator and furniture designer Hans-Agne Jakobsson (1919-2009) is best remembered for his softly glowing, glare-free lighting fixtures. Jakobsson was born in Havdhem on the island of Gotland in Sweden in 1919. He first apprenticed as a carpenter and then continued his education in Gothenburg, graduating with a degree in architecture. He was hired by General Motors as an industrial designer and subsequently worked as an assistant to both Carl Malmsten (1888-1972).
In 1951, Jakobsson founded his eponymous furniture manufacturing company, Hans-Agne Jakobsson AB in Markaryd, Sweden, which is sometimes referred to as AB Markaryd. Although Jakobsson designed and produced various types of furniture, his lighting received greater international attention. Experimenting with a wide range of materials—including brass, iron, glass, fabric, and wood shavings—Jakobsson mastered both the direction and color of light. His designs are known for their hidden bulbs and streamlined ornamentation, which created diffused, muted lighting.
Jakobsson’s career was prolific to say the least. His company produced over 2,000 separate lamps in fifty years. Jakobsson’s own body of work includes laminated pine pendant lamps, large bulbous glass chandeliers, all manner of muted lighting, and even Pop Art-inspired sconces. Examples include the outdoor light Tratten S2064 (1954), Estrella V258 Wall Lamp (1950s), Lamingo T325 Celling Light (1950s), his pinewood cylindrical B128 Table Lamp (1960s), BN26 Table Lamp...

Kinetic art - Beautiful and rare polyester resin sculpture from the HOME AND FARM collection representing a goose.
This sculpture is part of the series of animal sculptures that Abraham Palatnik made from the 1960s, in small format, they are small jewels of kinetic art, a movement of which he was one of the pioneers.
"Born in Natal, Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil, in 1928 to a family of Russian Jews, Palatnik moved with his family to Tel Aviv (then Palestine) when he was four years old. He attended Montefiori Technical School, where he specialized in internal combustion engines, and studied art under the tutelage of the painter Haaron Avni and the sculptor Sternshus at the Municipal Institute of Art. When he returned to Brazil in 1948, his output consisted mainly of figurative and landscape paintings and charcoal drawings. Interior architect Christan Langeström was employed in 1974 at AB Nybrofabriken in Fröseke. Despite his then relatively young years, he had a solid background. After graduating from Konstfack's line for interior design and furniture art, he worked for a time at Lennars Jansson Arktiketskontor AB in Stockholm, before starting his own company together with a couple of companions.
At the time of the launch of AB Nybrofabriken's "Kap Horn" series, Broby Nya Möbel AB in Sunne marketed the Big Boy seating group, one of the most robust pine furniture on the market. Christian Langeström was responsible for the design of this. Literature "Swedish 70s...

Jeager Lecoultre Rare Skeleton Clock Plexiglas and Brass. 8-Day Movement. Marked
By Jaeger-LeCoultre
Located in Paris, FR
Very rare lucite and brass round skeleton clock from Jaeger-LeCoultre, with a clean, minimalist design that fits any environment. The beauty of these skeleton clocks is its transparency, you can see the 16-jewel Swiss movement running and watch the balance wheel turning. Made in Switzerland. The movement is working at the time of our inspection. Good vintage condition no mark or visible scratches.
Jaeger-LeCoultre is synonymous with prestige, precision and innovation. In 1903, Edmond Jaeger, a Paris-based watchmaker for the French Navy, challenged Swiss manufacturers to develop and produce the ultra-thin movements he had invented[10]. Jacques-David LeCoultre, Antoine's grandson and head of production at LeCoultre & Cie, took up the challenge and gave birth to a collection of ultra-thin pocket watches...
