The International Show 2015

A staple in New York’s fall season for 26 years, the International Show presents spectacular fine art, antiques, silver, ceramics, carpets, jewelry and other unique collectors’ items. This year’s iteration comes with a new look, having simplified and shortened its title to its long-time moniker “The International Show” and debuted “The International Circle” as a complementary special event for young collectors. The Park Avenue Armory, an extraordinary landmark in the Gothic Revival style, serves as the perfect location combining historicism and convenience for the mix of international collectors, interior designers and savvy shoppers perusing the fair.
We spoke to Anna Haughton, an antiques dealer and fair organizer since the early 1980s, in advance of this year’s show. Haughton explains that she and her husband Brian are “excited to officially celebrate the category of Design as a full-fledged collecting area at the fair” in 2015. Additionally, “jewelry is a perennial favorite at the International Show and the jewelry dealers on exhibition have made wonderful longstanding clients in New York as a result of the fair.” Among the covetable baubles showcased are rare signed jewels, Victorian brooches and Art Deco engagement rings.
