Aditya Dicky Singh Landscape Prints

Indian, b. 1969

Voted Wildlife Photographer of the Year by Sanctuary magazine — and at the same time revered by many in the local community that encompass Ranthambore National Park, in Rajasthan, India — like Fateh Singh before him, Aditya "Dicky" Singh is one of the "good guys and gals," a small but vital group of steadfast individuals fighting to protect India’s heritage both now and for future generations.

The story is simple: On a bright autumn morning in November 1998, Dicky and Poonam Singh jumped into their car In Delhi and set off to make their dreams a reality — of escaping the city and living a life connected to the land "to live in nature with tigers in our backyard." Over 20 years later and much toil, sweat and tears, they are the proud custodians of a project in rural India that shows the way for the world, how to live a sustainable life.

The fruits of this incredible journey are now available on 1stDibs through the sale of limited edition prints of Dicky’s wildlife photographs.

There are many photographers, wildlife experts, historians and artists but in Dicky Singh all of these skills are deftly packed into one man. Add to this his unparalleled experience and knowledge gained through day-to-day existence with the tigers and the national park, and you have a tour de force — Singh's photographs are the culmination of all of these skills focused on the power of that one second when his finger presses the camera button.

The name Aditya "Dicky" Singh is synonymous with wildlife photography in India. His work can be seen in national newspapers, magazines, websites and tourist agencies — in fact, anywhere a great wildlife photographer is needed. He is the first port of call for film directors and documentary makers wishing to capture the beauty of India’s natural world.

Aditya Dicky Singh has been photographing in and around Ranthambhore National Park in India for over 20 years. His is an active member of a small band of experts proactively ensuring the health of the Tiger population in the Park and at the same time the survival of the smaller communities whose livelihoods depend on the same land. Through his lens he has documented generations of families of Tigers, learning behaviours and understanding their role in the wider context of the Forest.
