Finnish, b. 1945
Agneta Hobin of Finland is best known for impressive works in which yellow mica has been woven into metal warp; the technique and materials are the artist’s unique choices which she has been developing for over ten years. Hobin weaves the fine threads into mesh, incorporating mica and folding the material into shapes — fans, strips and bridges.(Biography provided by Browngrotta Arts)
