Albertus Verhoesen Furniture
Albertus Verhoesen was a Dutch 19th-century painter who was born in Utrecht, Netherlands, on June 16th, 1806. He was a student of J. van Ravenswaay and the cattle painter P.G. van Os. He lived and worked in Utrecht and Amersfoort and was a member of the Hilversum painters colony from 1824–26. His specialization consisted of landscapes with livestock and animal stables but became particularly known for his poultry scenes. During his Hilversum years, Verhoesen probably received lessons from B.C. Koekkoek, who also lived there at the time. Verhoesen worked in Amersfoort as a city draftsman for almost 20 years. He passed away in Utrecht, Netherlands, on February 24th, 1881.
