Amazing Scandinavian modern ceiling fixture by Lars Holmstrom a co-founder and member of the Arvika Konsthantverk. This fixture has a body of polished steel with a decorative grille of polished brass. A sandblasted glass diffuser covers three light sockets. The frame is supported by a black iron braces and three decorative polished brass elements shade the light bulbs. The stem and canopy are polished brass. Diameter: 22.5”, Height 13”. Newly polished and lacquered, newly re-wired for the US with three standard brass sockets.
Lars Holmstrom (1894 – 1959) was a master designer and metal smith and a co-founder of the Arvika Kontshantverk . He participated in the historic L'Exposition des Arts Décoratifs Paris 1925 in which he exhibited candlesticks and chandeliers as well as works in silver. His works were praised by the French press as “masterful works of art”.
