This is a beautifully sculpted bronze elephant by Barbara Beretich. The elephant comes across as a playful with one of his front legs raised on a ball much like a circus elephant. His trunk is curled up and tusks raised. the bronze is signed on the ball and the hand applied patina is a rich blue green. This is a stunning and rare collection of mirror polished bronze figures by Barbara Beretich from her estate. This collection contains 7 total pieces; we have 3 different figures represented. One group has 4 pieces (5" x 4.5" x 2"), one group has 2 ( 4" x 4" x 2"), and the the last is a single piece (3.5" x 2" x 2") Please see pictures. Entitled "Tanko", this is a beautiful and sleek bronze cat sculpture by Barbara Beretich(1936-2018). This lounging cat is displayed while grooming itself with its curvy tail wrapping around it's body and legs. Beretich's unique use of patina accentuates the subtle presentation of movement. We currently have 2 of these, same mold and patina. On a chair, sofa or on its own, this sculpture sits elegantly wherever it is placed.
