21-year-old Stig Lindberg managed to get an internship in the summer of 1973, a time when Gustavsberg porcelain factory was close to bankruptcy.
It took about two months for Stig Lindberg to impress Gustavsberg's artistic director Wilhelm Kåge, and after the summer he was offered a position as Kåge's apprentice.
