Claes Thell (Swedish, 1943-2019) was one of Sweden’s leading ceramic artists of the 20th /21st Century. He worked as a ceramicist at the Hoganas factory before starting his own studio where he gained recognition as an artist who experimented with both shapes and glazes leading to unique stoneware pieces. Examples of his work are in the National Museum in Stockholm.
