This is the rare original drawing created 54 years ago in 1970 by the legendary artist David Edward Byrd. It was presented to Bill Graham and the Rock group "The Who" showing what the "Pinball Lady" will look like for the poster art that David Byrd was creating for the iconic TOMMY poster for the WHO. This drawing is featured on pages 89 and 93 in the new large format coffee table book "Poster Child, The Psychedelic Art & Technicolor Life of David Edward Byrd". This original drawing from 1970 is a great addition to a Rock & Roll or The WHO art collection. A new coffee table book has just been released titled "Poster Child" The Psychedelic Art & Technicolor Life of David Edward Byrd. This original drawing is featured on page 57 of the book. This rare original 1973 drawing was used to create the poster for the Art Deco masterpiece in New York City, Radio City Music Hall. In 1973 The New York City Art Deco Exposition was held at Radio City Music Hall in New York to celebrate the extravagant re-opening and renovation of The New York City art Deco landmark Radio City Music Hall after an extensive renovation. I have also included a photo of the poster to show what the printed poster looked like, the color poster is not included in this sale. David Byrd created some of the most memorable Classic Theatre and Rock and Roll images from the 1960s and 70s. This is the first time that this rare original one of a kind drawing has been available for sale since it was first created over 40 years ago.
