Designed by Ernst August Leuteritz (modelled 1865-1875)
Leuteritz (1818-1893) studied at the Academy of Arts in Dresden and was leader of Modeller's Department at Meissen Manufactory in period from 1849 until 1886. Having become Professor in the year 1882, Leuteritz created a large range of items such as figurines, vases, clocks and candlesticks in Rococo as well as in Neo-Classical style: The sculptor is the most productive Meissen modeller of the historical-revival period.
