Flight Barr Barr Worcester Porcelain Dessert Compote
By Flight, Barr & Barr Worcester
Located in Fort Lauderdale, FL
A porcelain dessert compote dish, made circa 1820 by the Worcester Porcelain Factory during the Flight, Barr & Barr period.
The dish is boldly painted in iron red, soft pink, and deep blue, accompanied by beautiful gold details. The central design is a striking arrangement of flowers. The gadrooned border is gilded; a double band of gilding encircles the pedestal foot.
The compote features the impressed “FBB” mark on foot. The Flight, Barr & Barr period of the Worcester Porcelain Factory lasted from 1813 to 1840; the Regency style of this compote dates it to circa 1820.
