A French tall display and storage cabinet from the early 20th century. This antique painted-wood cabinet from France has a shallow break-front design along the front, with a stack molded cornice with fluted carvings beneath. The upper cabinet houses four glass-panel front doors, and rests atop a lower case fitted with three drawers set in horizontal fashion along it's top, with four doors beneath (each opens to reveal shelving and abundant storage within). This piece is raised upon six spaded feet. The painted finish is older, though not original. It is primarily a creamy grey color with a darker slate accent trim, and a nicely aged patina throughout. The shelves are 12" deep at their deepest, with the more shallow ones having an 11" depth. This French deux...

- 1stDibs ExpertJanuary 10, 2025Jean-Louis Deniot is famous for his achievements as an interior designer. In 2000, he established his own firm in Paris, France. Since then, he has become known for his bold interiors, combining elements of neoclassical and contemporary design. For his interior design projects, Deniot is a fan of commissioning custom furnishings by local artisans whenever possible. Yet his interiors never over-embrace the vernacular style of a particular country or region. Instead, he weaves in influences subtly and adds more than a dose of Gallic style.
