A display round tray designed by Tiffany & Co. Beautiful antique three footed round display tray, created in New York city for Tiffany & Co. between the 1858-1859. This tray certainly is one of the first pieces made at the 550 Broadway avenue in solid .925/1000 sterling silver. It was made up with American classic patterns and mount in three elaborated legs. As with all Tiffany pieces, the quality and design are beyond compare. Exceptional and rare example of Tiffany's finest work. Weight: 175.85 Grams (112.72 Dwt). Measurements: Diameter of 146.05 mm and a height of 24.2 mm (5.75 x 0.95 inches). Hallmarks: Stamped twice with the maker's mark, the gothic letter "M" associated to J.C. Moore & Sons (1854-1869), the model number 867, the order numbers 9008 and signed in full. "TIFFANY & CO. M 867 ENGLISH STERLING 925/1000 M 9008 550 BROADWAY". An exceptional, fine and impressive pair of antique George III English sterling silver sauce tureens with ladles; an addition to our Georgian silverware collection. These exceptional antique George III sterling silver sauce tureens have a plain rectangular rounded form. The body of each tureen is plain and embellished with an applied gadroon decorated border to the lower portion and upper rim. These impressive silver tureens retain the original hallmarked push fit covers ornamented with further applied gadroon decoration to the upper plateau in addition to the base of the impressive reed decorated handle enveloped with leaf designs to the terminals. The surface of each cover is embellished with a contemporary bright cut engraved crest depicting a falcon holding a partridge between her feet and encompassed with the belted motto 'Qui potest capere capiat', Let him who can take, take. Each Georgian tureen is fitted with two fine and original ring loop handles above an impressive lion mask ornamentation. Each tureen is supported by four impressive shaped legs with paw feet. A fine and impressive antique Edwardian English sterling silver soup tureen; an addition to our silver dining collection This fine antique Edwardian sterling silver soup tureen has a plain oval shaped form onto a plain oval domed spreading foot. The surface of this piece is embellished with a bright cut engraved crest of on a chapeau turned up a lion rampant supporting an arrow palewise feathered and headed to one side. This antique silver soup tureen retains the original hallmarked push fit cover, surmounted with the original hallmarked detachable shaped scrolling handle with acanthus leaf decoration. The antique silver soup tureen is fitted with thread decorated loop handles with acanthus leaf terminals. Condition This antique silver soup tureen is an excellent gauge of silver, excellent quality and in excellent condition. This piece has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition. Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the body have wear in keeping with age and location, but all remain legible.
