Mid-Century Modern Chrome Floor Lamp Frosted Glass Mushroom Globe Laurel Lamp Co
By Laurel Lamp Company
Located in Topeka, KS
Lovely Mid-Century Modern chrome floor lamp with frosted glass mushroom globe by Laurel Lamp Company. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear. There is nothing outstanding, but you might find small scratches and a small dent on the base if you look very closely, and the globe seems to have a small smudge-like flaw inside the bottom side of the glass but very low visibility. Please see photos and zoom in for details. We attempt to portray any imperfections. Circa, 1960’s. Time to wake up and embrace the light!!! Just look at this fabulous Mid-Century Modern chrome floor lamp with a frosted glass mushroom globe! It is made by The Laurel Lamp Company with its tall slender chrome stem, trumpeted tulip shaped base, and frosted glass mushroom shaped globe…. it’s a simple and stunning design! This fabulous floor lamp will add just the right touch of light in a dark corner in your sitting room, bedroom, or just about any room in your home that needs bit of brightness! It would also be a wonderful reading light next to a lounge chair or chaise. This floor lamp is a beauty to behold! Questions About Laurel Lamp Company Furniture
  • 1stDibs ExpertNovember 4, 2024
To identify an antique floor lamp, first see if you can locate a marking on the shade, base, switch, socket or another area. Using trusted online resources, you can often identify a maker based on these markings. With an unmarked lamp, check the cord. Antique lighting fixtures will usually have a cotton-wrapped cord or exposed wires rather than a polymer-coated cord. The plug is also likely to have prongs the same size if the lamp is antique. Generally, a floor lamp must be at least 100 years old to be considered an antique. For further assistance with the identification process, enlist the help of a certified appraiser or experienced antique dealer. On 1stDibs, find a collection of antique floor lamps.
  • 1stDibs ExpertNovember 4, 2024
To identify a Laurel Lamp table lamp, first check the bottom of the base and the bulb socket for a label, tag or other marking. Some pieces display the Laurel brand name or a serial number, which you can cross-reference with information published on trusted online resources to make an identification. Since not all Laurel table lamps bear markings, you may need to search image galleries to see if you can find a model that matches your lamp. You can also consult a certified appraiser or experienced antique dealer for an expert opinion. Find a variety of Laurel Lamp Company lamps on 1stDibs.

There is no single best company for table lamps. A well-crafted antique or vintage table lamp does more than provide light; the right fixture-and-table combination can add a focal point or creative element to any interior, and over the years, many manufacturers and designers have offered a range of visually appealing table lamps. Examples include Artemide, Gordon & Jane Martz, FLOS, Søholm Stentøj, Louis Poulsen and many others. Shop a large collection of table lamps on 1stDibs.

No, the Marbro Lamp Company is not still in business. The Masco Corporation acquired the company in 1987. Its Los Angeles assembly plant shuttered its doors in 1990, and its equipment and remaining inventory were moved to La Barge Mirrors, a Masco subsidiary, in Michigan. Shortly after, the production of Marbro lamps ended. Find a diverse assortment of Marbro Lamp Company lighting on 1stDibs.
