An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Chinese export silver bottle coaster, an addition to our ornamental silverware collection.
This exceptional antique Chinese Export Silver (CES) bottle coaster has a cylindrical form to a plain spreading base.
The body of this Chinese silver coaster is embellished with fine and impressive embossed and pierced decoration depicting two iconic oriental dragons amidst clouds.
The decoration to the body incorporates a sun motif to either side, each accented with a central cartouche, one remains vacant and the other bears the contemporary engraved monogram initials 'CHD.'
The upper and lower rims of this coaster are encompassed with plain applied moulded borders accented with bands of tooled decoration.
This exceptional coaster has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as sterling silver (925, 925/1000).
Condition
This antique Chinese silver coaster is a very good gauge of silver, excellent quality and in exceptional presentation condition.
The Chinese hallmarks struck to the underside of this coaster are all very clear.

This exceptional Chinese Export Silver bowl has a circular form onto a plain circular spreading foot.
The body of this antique silver bowl is embellished with exceptional chased traditional oriental figural and structural designs, all on a matte background; it can be determined that such a frieze of figures relates to a historical event or folklore.
The decoration to the body incorporates two cast and applied handpieces, modelled in the form of figural masks.
The upper portion of this impressive bowl is encircled with a plain applied moulded border to the rim.
The Chinese silver hallmarks struck to the surface of the foot include:

Condition
This antique Asian silver bowl is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition. The chased decoration is all very sharp. The CES hallmarks struck to the surface of the foot are all very clear; the hallmarks are struck deeply due to the exceptional gauge of silver.

This exceptional and large antique Chinese Export silver mug has a tapering cylindrical form.
The surface of this mug is embellished with chased decoration depicting Asian figures amidst a classic oriental village setting, performing chores and meditating in prayer.
The ornamentation to the mug incorporates an applied shield shaped cartouche ornamented with the contemporary engraved inscription 'Chefoo Races 1893, Aubrey N Beauclerk, Winner of five races (including Champions) on "Bunkum", "Rag", "Bobtail" from M. Boyd Beedon'.
The upper and lower portions of the mug are encircled with plain applied moulded decoration.
This large Chinese silver mug is fitted with a very impressive cast and applied handle realistically modelled in the form of a three dimensional dragon, with splayed legs in junction with the body.
This large ornamental handle is embellished with cast details reproducing the dragon's scales, whiskers and anatomical features.
