Artist Pamela Blaies reveals an impressionist portrait of a young red-headed woman. The subject has porcelain skin with rosy blush and plump lips. Her personality emanates through expressive brushwork and lush impasto texture. Pamela paints alla prima style to bring exquisite color harmony to the composition.
About the Artist
Pamela Blaies unexpectedly discovered her passion for art. A move with her family put her children in sad spirits, so to cheer them up she painted murals on their bedroom walls. With time, she began looking forward to painting more and more. She works in "alla prima" style, a technique in which artists don;t wait for paint to dry and work with layers of wet paint. The effects of light and shadows in the world greatly influence her work.
