The Adão Coat Peg is hand turned from Portuguese chestnut wood by master wood turner Carlos Barbosa. In the true spirit of Origin, the coat peg is named after the craftsman who first made it, Adão Gomes. Designed by Pauline Deltour to be significant in size, the object has distinct concave faces to bring out a sculptural presence. Adão coat peg is available in two sizes, and finished with a natural wax coating. Material: Chestnut Wood As a handcrafted product, each piece is unique. Natural qualities of wood could result in variations in color tone, wood grain and the presence of medullary rays or knots. The Designer Pauline Deltour was born in 1983, in Landerneau, France. She graduated from les Arts Décoratifs in 2007 and has worked for 4 years for Konstantin Grcic in Munich, Germany. She has opened her very own studio in Paris in 2010. Distinguished by being both severe and delicate, its designs reflect a vocabulary which is characteristic of her own personality. Her precise hand, neat lines, carefully selected materials and colour ranges, and the way in which they come together, form the individual identity of this young French designer’s work.
