The Tolix steel stacking stools and steel stacking chairs were originally designed by Xavier Pauchard, better known as Mr. X. In the early 1900’s Xavier perfected a way of protecting sheet metal from rusting and by 1927 had set up a factory selling steel products. The now famous Tolix steel stacking stools and steel stacking chairs were not designed until the 30’s. 1956 was the year that Xavier finally perfected the fully stackable Tolix steel chairs, followed by the Tolix stacking steel stools. They had the ability to be able to stack (12) or more steel chairs and stools safely and that made the Tolix stacking stools and chairs an instant success. We stock the steel Tolix stacking stools (and chairs) in a myriad of colors and in (3) different heights, kitchen island and counter, dining tables and bars. All of the Tolix steel stacking stools and chairs have been stored in a warehouse, or used as showroom samples for many years. Virtually all will have some cosmetic flaws and are priced accordingly.
