Vittorio Reggianini Interior Paintings

Italian, 1858-1938

Vittorio Reggianini was born at Modena in 1858 and studied at l’Academie de Modene and later became a professor. Reggianini was a famous Italian painter of elegant Rococo interior scenes featuring stylish young Parisians of pre-Revolutionary France. He is considered perhaps the finest painter of fashionable young ladies of the Ancien Régime and of the sumptuous fabrics they wore.
