Wade Reynolds Drawings
Wade Reynolds was an American realist artist and painter, born in 1929, in Jasper, New York. He was a self-taught painter, best known for his figurative paintings, often classified as California School of Light. He was commissioned to paint the official state portrait of George Deukmejian, who was the Governor of California from 1983-91. He is also known for his portraits of costume designer, Noel Taylor and actress, Agnes Moorehead. Reynolds was a prolific and successful painter of portraits and figures. He taught at the Laguna School of Art and Design, as well as the Academy of Art, in San Francisco, California. His work has appeared in museums and galleries in San Francisco, New York, Newport Beach, Santa Fe and Santa Barbara.
