Walter Moskow Art
Walter Moskow was born on August 2, 1931. He was a graduate of the Art Institute of Chicago and has exhibited throughout the United States. Moskow worked as a commercial artist for over twenty years at the corporate headquarters of Montgomery Ward in the display and advertising department while he and his wife, Loyce, continued their interests in art. Also a figurative artist, he developed a drawing and painting talent that evolved into a style of his own through the use of high gloss oil paint, pastels, charcoals and Conté crayons. Moskow took it to another level by creating several etchings that paid tribute to a musical and dance legacy of jazz, blues, ballet and other subjects using light and dark contrasts. His works have been exhibited at several galleries, universities and academies. Moskow passed away on October 29, 2013.
