This early 20th century silver plated tea set was made in Vienna, Austria by Wolkenstein & Glückselig. The set consists of a lidded coffee pot, lidded teapot, lidded sugar bowl, cream jug and large oval tray.
The set has been decorated in the manner of Emanuel Josef Margold, Wiener Werkstätte designer and member of Germany's Darmstadt artists’ colony. Each piece features a band of stylized fruit baskets which are arranged in an alternating pattern. The rim of the oval tray bears the same design and is finished with foliate handles.
