This stunning and exquisite sideboard cabinet was expertly crafted from Rosewood with brass and rose lucite center cabinet pulls. This monumentally sized cabinet was clearly an important piece as its craftsmanship and materials are first-class. The rippled Rosewood cabinet doors and rose tinted lucite pulls are ahead of its time. Refinished in a French Polish which accentuates the exotic Rosewood grain and protects the surface against regular daily use. The features on this eye-catcher are quite comprehensive. Let's start with the most obvious: incredible book-matched Rosewood across the top, front center doors and running along the base and side cabinet doors. Such wild attention to detail creating a stunning visual effect. Now let's pay attention to the more subtle details such as the rippled corners - there are actually concealed compartment doors somewhat hidden in those ripples. The center door pulls are also superb - the center plates in lightly patinated brass and the handles in rose colored lucite with gently beveled edges. Four keys are included with the cabinet, as seen in photos. While we are confident that this cabinet was designed by someone important and for an important client, we are unsure of the maker at this time. It was previously attributed to Louis Majorelle however we are uncertain of that so we are not listing it as such. Rosewood with this exotic of grain combined with high quality interiors and hardware, plus the use of rose colored lucite pulls is a sign that this was not just any run of the mill piece but something with plenty of thought and care devised into its creation. Awesome vintage Art Deco dry bar or liquor cabinet comprised of Philippine mahogany. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear. We have added a new black painted base. There were several small areas that have been repaired or veneer replaced. Please see photos and zoom in for details. We attempt to portray any imperfections. Circa, Early to Mid-20th Century. It's 5 O’clock somewhere!! What a FANTASTIC vintage Art Deco dry bar or liquor cabinet!! It is comprised of wonderful Philippine Mahogany and finished all the way around so it can float nicely in any room you choose, plus we have added a lovely new black painted base… and it looks FABULOUS! The front double doors are spilt at the top and in the center by a wood handle that runs the length of the doors of the cabinet. So, you can open the smaller top section and leave the lower portion closed or vice versa. The right door closes over the left, so simply pull the right-hand door using the handle which reveals the inside of the cabinet featuring shelves and a small center storage unit with doors. Piano hinges assist each door in opening and the back of the doors are lined with a gorgeous vintage bark cloth...
