A Renaissance Revival cupboard or vaiselier in the style of Louis XIII from Brittany, France, circa 1890. In a richly dark, carved French oak with sliding doors in the center flanked by two hinged doors at either side, offering lots of storage. Open shelf on bottom is perfect for confit pots. There is the depiction of Christian symbolism carved into the center panels of the center doors with the monogram "IHS. IHSOUS," which is "Jesus" in Latin, with a cross above the "H" and the sacred heart below it. Measures: 74" wide x 18 1/2" deep x 84" high. Note: You should always request a shipping quote. This lovely French Walnut Washstand is in great original condition and features a good-sized round mirror within a solid walnut frame with moulded inner and outer edges. The mirror is held in a lyre support with brass wingnut adjusters. The white variegated marble top features on the top surface and three surrounding sides. The full-width drawer is of dovetail construction and has an attractive book-matched walnut front with a turned drawer pull.
